About these terms

This website is run by the Australian Society of Hypnosis WA (ASH WA), a not-for-profit professional organisation in Western Australia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean ASH WA.

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Information only, not advice

The content on this website is general information about ASH WA and our training. It is not medical, psychological or other professional advice, and it does not replace advice from a qualified practitioner about your own situation.

Clinical hypnosis should only be used within the scope of a practitioner's professional qualifications, registration, training and competence.

Course information

We work to keep course information accurate and current. Details such as dates, fees, faculty and content can change, for example if a presenter becomes unavailable.

The information on the Apply page at the time you apply, and the written offer of a place we send you, set out the arrangements that apply to you. If anything elsewhere on the website is different, the Apply page and your written offer take priority.

Applications and selection

Admission to the training is by application. Applications are considered by the ASH WA Standards Committee. The committee looks at professional eligibility and also at motivation, professional background, readiness to participate and what each applicant may bring to the group.

Submitting an application does not guarantee the offer of a place. Places are not offered on a first come, first served basis, and applications close once a suitable group has been formed.

When you apply, you must give information that is true, complete and current. You also agree to the applicant declarations shown on the application form.

Fees and payments

The total course fee is AUD $2,950. Payments are made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) using the details on the Apply page.

• An application deposit of AUD $1,000 is paid with your application.
• If you are not offered a place, the AUD $1,000 application deposit is refunded in full.
• If you are offered a place, the AUD $1,000 deposit becomes non-refundable and is applied towards the total course fee of AUD $2,950.
• The remaining AUD $1,950 is payable within 7 days of the offer.

Once you have been offered and accepted a place in the course, the course fees are non-refundable. This includes if you withdraw, stop attending or do not complete the training.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies you have that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

The applicant declarations also explain ASH WA membership arrangements. These include renewing your membership on or before 30 June 2027 to remain eligible to continue the training after that date.

Intellectual property

The content of this website, including its text, images, logos and design, belongs to ASH WA or is used with permission. You may view it and print or save a copy for your personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, publish or adapt it for any other purpose without our written permission.

Acceptable use

When using this website, please do not:

• submit false, misleading or someone else's information
• upload files that contain viruses or other harmful code
• try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its forms or the systems behind it
• send spam, or use the forms for anything other than genuine enquiries and applications
• use the website in a way that breaks the law or interferes with other people's use of it

This website may link to websites run by other organisations. We provide these links for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Our liability

We provide this website in good faith, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, error free or completely up to date.

To the extent allowed by law, ASH WA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or your reliance on its content.

These terms do not exclude, restrict or change any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect the personal information you share through this website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any dispute about them is subject to the courts of Western Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. Changes do not affect a written offer of a place that we have already sent you.
